Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
